Hat Gao was born from a simple idea: everything begins with one grain of rice.

In Vietnamese culture, rice is more than a staple — it is what feeds families every day and forms the foundation of our cuisine. From a single grain of rice come steamed rice, rice noodles, rice paper, and many of the traditional Vietnamese dishes we grew up eating at home.

Hat Gao was created as a small, honest Vietnamese restaurant, inspired by everyday meals from family kitchens across Vietnam. Our menu focuses on comforting broths, fragrant rice, and time-honoured recipes that have been passed down, refined, and cooked with care. From slow-simmered phở made with rice noodles to bold, flavourful Vietnamese street-food classics, every dish is prepared to feel familiar, nourishing, and deeply satisfying.
